This is a website of my photos.  There are six galleries:

(1) New Stuff:  these are my latest photos.  I created this gallery so that you do not have to look through everything to find the new photos.  They will also be in one of the galleries.  As I put new photos on the site I will remove the older photos from this gallery.

( 2) Astrophotos: (mostly deep space objects like galaxies and nebula but an occasional photo of the moon, a comet. an eclipse or the milky way).  All of these photos were taken by me using either a CCD camera attached to a telescope or a DSLR camera attached to a lens and mounted on a telescope (I have a ton of new astrophotos that I will be adding in the near future);

( 3 ) Landscape: all of these photos were taken with either a Canon 5d mark III, 5d mark iv or a Canon 5DSR using various canon lenses;

( 4 ) Wildlife: these photos were also taken with my Canon cameras at Yellowstone, in Antarctica or Churchill, Canada (polar bears).

(5) Macro: photos taken with either a canon 100mm or 180mm macro lens (real small stuff like a bug or a leaf).  More of these to come.

As for Ken (me), for many years I was a trial lawyer, first working as an assistant district attorney trying murder cases and then trying complex litigation matters for major corporations (while the former was a lot more fun, the latter paid for the telescopes, expensive cameras and trips that allowed me to take the photos on this website).  Jenner & Block, where I was a partner, has many of my photos hanging in the hallways of their downtown offices in Los Angeles.  I will keep updating this site with my latest and greatest photos so if you like my photos, come back every once in a while to see what's new.

I recently added photos of auroras taken in September. 2018. Many people have asked what needs to be done to take an aurora photo like the ones I have posted. To get them I traveled by plane to Vancouver; then by plane to Whitehorse Canada; then a 6 hour car trip to Dawson, Canada; then a 45 minute helicopter ride into the Yukon (unreachable by any other way). Then we carried about 50 pounds on our backs for 6 days as we hiked through this rock filled territory where we had to be on constant alert for grizzly bears. We slept in our sleeping bags each night (temperature about 0) after sitting up till 4am to catch and try to photograph the show. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a unique way to torture yourself.

REMEMBER, THE BETTER THE MONITOR YOU USE, THE BETTER THE PHOTO WILL APPEAR.  I MAY NOT BE ANSEL ADAMS, BUT A CRUMMY MONITOR WILL MAKE ANY PHOTO LOOK LOUSY...EXCEPT MAYBE AN ANSEL ADAMS PHOTO.
