YOSEMITE ,HORSETAIL FALLS. FOR A FEW DAYS EACH YEAR THE JUXTAPOSITION OF THE SUN AND THE MOUNTAIN CREATES THIS "FIREFALL." IF IT RAINS YOU MISS IT. IF IT'S CLOUDY YOU MISS IT. IF IT'S TOO COLD AND THE WATER FREEZES YOU MISS IT. DESPITE THESE OBSTACLES. WE DROVE ALL NIGHT FROM LOS ANGELES TO YOSEMITE WITH THE HOPE WE COULD BEAT THE ODDS AND PHOTOGRAPH IT. AND WE DID.

I think this is the quintessential Yellowstone scene. The smoke from the ground, the bison, the trees, the water and the orange flowers. Could not have asked for more in one photo.

Got lucky. Not only got the clouds and the reflection of the clouds but for no extra charge got the setting sunstar.
