They are using their "eagle eyes" to find dinner.

Eagle. Jackson Hole. OK, I admit I am a fan boy for eagles. So intense. They just sit high up in a tree, no movement, and use their "eagle" eyes to spot their next meal.
Like I said in the introduction, I don't use photoshop to change the photo. The bird was there when I snapped the photo. Just lucky!
This was taken on a trip to Antaritica from about a mile away using a long range lens. I just kept snapping photos and was delighted with this one. That was 15 years ago and I have taken a lot of whale photos since, but none better.
This was the first whale I saw on the first day of my Hawaii trip. Figured I would see many more during the rest of the trip. The reason you do not see more whale photos from Hawaii is because this was it.
All of the water coming down gives you an idea of the enormous size and strength of this fella.
As you have probably noticed, I love whales. This one emerged from the water very close to our small boat. Another few yards and we could have exchanged some conversation.
